Usage

It can be used against a wide range of insect pests in public health (e.g. flies, cockroaches, mosquitoes, fleas, lice, bugs) and in veterinary applications (ectoparasitic ticks and mites). In plant protection, it is effective against Coleoptera and Lepidoptera and gives good protection against Orthoptera, Diptera, Hemiptera, and Homoptera. Mainly used in alfalfa, cereals, cotton, grapes, maize, oilseed rape, pome fruit, potatoes, soya beans, sugar beet, tobacco and vegetables. | |
Mammalian toxicology

Acute transoral LD50:649mg/kg in rats, acute transcutaneous LD50>5000mg /kg in rabbits, mild skin and eye irritation. Not sensitive to guinea pigs. Acute inhalation LC50 in rats was >1.97mg/L (hour). The product is highly toxic to bees, fish, silkworms and birds, and should be used to avoid contaminating water sources, nectar crops during flowering and mulberry gardens. |
