Mode of Action	The inhibitory effect of this product on insects is manifested in affecting the metamorphosis and reproduction of insects. Toxicological tests on the moth showed that the high concentration of pyrifen in hemolymph accelerated the secretion of prothymus sex hormone. On the other hand, because pyrifen can make insects lack the necessary stimulus factors to lay eggs, inhibit embryo development and egg hatching, or generate no viable eggs, so as to effectively control and achieve the purpose of pest control.
Toxicity	Acute oral LD50>5000 mg/kg in rats, acute percutaneous LD50>2000 mg/kg in rats, long-term high dose exposure can cause hepatorenal toxicity.
Application	Broad-spectrum insecticide .In addition to mites, ithas special effects on theegg mass of Homoptera(Psyllid whitefly, scales),Lepidoptera (Plutella xylostella,Spodoptera litura, etc.). It is mainly used to control the population of flies and other insects. It is often used as an indoor and outdoor insecticide and can be sprayed in places such as rooms, beds, toilets, gardens and home areas to control the breeding and spread of mosquitoes and flies. Pyrifen can also be used for insect control in agriculture.
